This season's Scribe collection presents the latest modern designs, superb quality and unparalleled comfort. Only the name Scribe is a symbol of quality. In the past 50 years, the Scribe series has become an integral part of the Bally brand history. The origin of this name dates back to Mr. Max Bally's tolerance for a trip to Paris. He likes to stay at the famous Scribe Hotel in Paris after a busy business meeting. It is in the Scribe Hotel that he feels a luxurious atmosphere, witnessing the passing of noble guests from all over the world, and enjoying an elegant and relaxed life attitude. All this inspired Max Bally to create the perfect Scribe series.
The Scribe series is made by hand and incorporates traditional shoemaking techniques and techniques. Each pair of shoes uses Goodyear's trimmed leather manufacturing method - a footwear manufacturing process that was invented in the late 19th century. This shoemaking process involves more than 200 processes, most of which are done by hand. The upper and the inner sole of the shoe are connected by a belt, namely a "leather hem" stitching, and form a comfortable inner space in the shoe. The inside of the shoes is filled with special materials that can be automatically shaped, as if it were a comfortable "footbed" for each customer. In a short period of time, Scribe shoes can perfectly fit your foot shape, giving you a comfortable and personalized wearing experience.
In terms of materials, carefully selected European calfskins are treated with traditional methods of sun exposure to preserve the natural qualities of the leather. Leather linings are made of tough, high-quality calfskin. The soles of the leather are specially treated to ensure long-lasting wear, good stretchability and comfortable fit. Each pair of leather shoes is finished by hand to better show the natural luster of leather. Hand-studded rivets with two-tone leather soles highlight the unique style of leather shoes. Finally, all the details about the shoe mold, including the model and size, will be hand-written by the artisans who built the pair of Scribe shoes on the leather lining.
The Bally footwear studio in Caslano, Switzerland, is where the handmade Scribe shoes were born. Eight different shoe molds are made of natural French calfskin, vendome suede or Louisiana crocodile leather and black , cuiio, cuba, and indiana are available. Each pair of Scribe shoes also comes with a pair of dedicated cedar shoe racks.
