Work with the copper sculpture network to learn the process of making copper sculptures.

Before introducing the cast bronze molding production process, we first look at what is the bronze sculpture. Cast bronze sculpture - as the name suggests, is a sculpture cast from copper. Ancient China was one of the earliest artistic origins of mankind. When humans mastered the text, our ancestors began to have the technology of casting copper handicrafts. With the progress of society, people gradually mastered the casting technique of bronze sculpture. . Therefore, the history of cast bronze sculpture is very long and the technology is mature.

The production process of cast bronze sculpture is more complicated, so its cost is higher than other materials, but because of its resilience of artistic creation, it can become a material of fine works; and cast bronze sculpture is hard and corrosion resistant, Being able to save for a long time, in addition to these obvious features, more importantly - it is environmentally friendly. Therefore, today's cast bronze sculpture has become the material of choice for commercial clubs, cafes, and home decoration. Here we take a concrete look at the production process of cast bronze sculpture:

1. Design plan and clay sculpture production: Firstly, according to the overall conception of the sculpture, the drawings are designed, and then the complete mud is made with the sculpture mud according to the designed scheme.

2. Mold remanufacturing: After the clay sculpture is finished, it is necessary to turn over the mold, first pull out a FRP mold, and then repair the complete silicone mold.

3. Wax-type filling: The melted paraffin is poured into the already prepared silicone mold, and after the paraffin is cooled, it becomes a wax type. The wax pattern is then trimmed.

4. Shell: There are two kinds of shells and molds: one is precision casting, and the other is resin sand box. For small or complex sculptures, we should use precision casting, and sandboxing is generally suitable for simple smooth surfaces without much craftsmanship. Cast the mortar outside the wax mold and repeat the casting until the mortar completely wraps the wax mold to a certain thickness and dry the wax mold wrapped in the mortar. Then put the shell into the furnace and warm it to the inside of the paraffin wax, which is what is known as the lost wax method.

5. Casting and grinding: In a high temperature environment, copper is poured into copper water and poured into a good shell or sand box, and then polished and polished.

6. Splicing and forming: Put together the polished bronze carvings to become a complete whole. After this step is completed, we can basically see the rough appearance of the bronze sculpture.

7. Product casting trimming and treatment: sandblasting and cleaning the cast copper products, grinding, shaping, machining, polishing and other final treatment;

8. Surface effect treatment and protection: Coloring usually has cold color and hot color. According to the author's request, the surface of the bronze sculpture is painted, and the effect of the surface of the cast copper is processed to achieve a perfect unity of shape and color.

9. Oiling, sealing wax: After cleaning the welding joint and the surface finish, the next step is to oil and seal the wax. Oiling and sealing wax can keep the sculpture up to date.
