Short fibers are used for blending with cotton, wool, or other synthetic fibers. Fabrics are easy to wash and dry, and they are not mildewed. Filaments are widely used in cigarette smoke filters. Hollow acetate fiber with dialysis function can be used for purification and separation of modern medical artificial kidney and chemical industry. The triacetate fiber performance is basically similar to that of the diacetate fiber; however, the strength is slightly lower, only 1.2 g/d, and the moisture regain is even lower at 4.5%. The higher melting point is 290-300°C.
