From January to July Art Ceramic Exports Continue to Grow

Customs statistics show that from January to July, the export value of China's art ceramics was 460 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 40.7% year-on-year, and the number of exports was 283 million kilograms, a year-on-year increase of 12.81%. Exports of art ceramics ranked first among light industrial products. In July, the export value was US$83 million, an increase of 33.87% year-on-month, and the export volume was 0.47 billion kg, a year-on-year increase of 23.68%.

Art ceramics maintain a high growth trend in the traditional export market. From January to July, the export volume to the EU was 185 million U.S. dollars, accounting for 40.3% of the total export value, an increase of 31.74% year-on-year; the number of exports was 905 million kilograms, an increase of 21.64% year-on-year. The amount of US exports to the United States was 109 million U.S. dollars, accounting for 23.66% of the total export value, an increase of 17.03% year-on-year; the number of exports was 0.71 million kilograms, an increase of 12.69% year-on-year. Exports to Japan amounted to US$22 million, accounting for 4.68% of the total export value, up 14.6% year-on-year; export volume was 0.14 billion kg, a year-on-year decrease of 3.89%. Exports to South Korea amounted to US$18 million, accounting for 3.90% of the total export value, an increase of 151.14% year-on-year; exports amounted to 13 million kg, a year-on-year decrease of 10.44%.
